Incredibly popular amongst families with younger children, my outdoor portrait photoshoots typically run from April until the end of November.The carpets of bluebells in spring. The rich greens and wild flowers of the summer grasslands. The golden brown hues of autumn leaves. Outdoors is where magic happens.

With its pristine landscape, countless ancient woodlands and wild meadows, the High Weald AONB provides just the perfect backdrop for those colourful, relaxed family and child portrait photographs. And with nature and weather constantly changing, your pictures will always be as one-of-a-kind as your family is.

Outdoor family portraits and the weather

I tend to opt for the nice soft light of overcast days or the golden glow of sunset when scheduling outdoor family portrait sessions. My goal is to make it a fun and relaxed experience. For you. Your loved ones. And particularly for any little people that come to the session. For that reason, I never go ahead with outdoor family photoshoots when it rains - they are simply rescheduled to the next suitable fine weather day.
