Welcome to my page. My name is Agata and I will be taking your pictures when you come for a session with Sugar & Shutter Photography. I started my business in 2015 and since then worked on my unique style and trained with some incredible artists and industry leaders to bring you the best portrait photography has to offer and create some truly magical pictures. Whether you are after a majestic, heirloom family portrait taken in a studio or a more relaxed, annual session for your children in the beautiful countryside, I would love to hear from you. My studio is based in Flimwell and is easily accessible from London, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells and Hastings. Have a look below at the frequently asked questions section and if there is anything you would like to discuss make sure you get in touch and I can't wait to answer any questions you might have.
I had a good look around your website and I love your work. How do I contact you for more info?
Drop me an email! You can write to or go to the contact section on this page. I usually respond within a day so be sure to check your junk folder if you don't see my reply within 3 days. Please do not contact me via social media as those mailboxes are not something I monitor on regular bases.
I would like to book, how do I do it?
Send me an email with some info about the type of session you would like to book and the dates you are available. I will get back to you with my availability and details for the deposit payment. Once the deposit is received I will confirm your booking and we'll arrange for a suitable date for you to come to the studio for a consultation.
Can I book my session on a Saturday or Sunday?
Sessions, consultations and viewing appointments take place on Monday to Friday between 10am and 6pm. My weekends are normally reserved for my two little favourite people but saying that, if you have an emergency or some extended family coming to the shoot from far let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Why do I need to pay a deposit?
Deposit secures your chosen date. Due to the time and effort needed for the type of photography I offer I am unable to take more than 3 sessions a week, meaning that spaces are very limited. Securing your session with the deposit ensures that your preferred date is reserved for you.
What happens at a consultation?
We'll have a nice cuppa and a chat! You will have an opportunity to see the studio and to find out how I work. I will guide you on how to best prepare for the session. We will talk about your expectations and any concerns you may have. I will also talk to you about your house and will go through the wall art options to best showcase the gorgeous pictures we are about to take.
What do I wear to the session?
It very much depends on the type of session you are interested in. I'm a big fun of rich colours, lots of textures and layers. Generally speaking, bright colours, patterns, numbers or cartoon characters are a no no. We will go through outfit ideas in depth during your consultation.
How long does the session last?
It all depends on the type of the session but the majority of the sessions are between 1 and 2 hours long. Saying that, there is no time limit and you will never feel rushed. My aim is to make the shoot an enjoyable, relaxed and memorable experience and we will take as long as we need to make sure you end up with some great photographs that you'll love.
What happens after the session?
I will start working on your photographs. I will choose the best images and start the editing process. Once the gallery is ready, usually within 2 to 3 weeks after the session, I will get in touch to invite you back to the studio for the viewing appointment. It is at this point that you select the images you love most and order any wall art. Any outstanding payments are also settled at the viewing appointment.
Can I pay by card?
Yes! I accept bank transfers, cash and debit card payments. No PayPal or credit cards I'm afraid.
When will my wall art be ready?
The order for your wall art is placed pretty much right after your viewing appointment. It is usually ready to be picked up from the studio in around 2 to 3 weeks.
